WEBE MERGING AS UNIFI MOBILE

Webe is merging to Unifi Mobile, I'm designing Webe's user dashboard with Unifi's branding elements. Besides that, Webe's users will be notified the status progress of the merging of their account

PRIMARY GOAL

As Webe will be merged to Unifi Mobile, all the current website and app for the user will be changed to Unifi's branding.

Provide individual account information to our new and existing users with Unifi's branding. Achieve this in a visually appealing way which prompts action and engagement, and doesn’t overwhelm.

HIGH LEVEL TIMELINE

I was given 10 - 15 days to gather the information and elements of the Unifi's branding. Creating user's dashboard for both mobile and desktop view.

MAKE OF THE TEAM

Visual Designer

KEY GOAL

Implement Unifi's branding into across all Webe's platforms.

DESIGN PROCESS

As the Visual Designer for the Webe to Unifi Mobile merge, my primary goal was to create a visually appealing and user-friendly dashboard for both mobile and desktop views that incorporates Unifi's branding while providing individual account information for both new and existing users.

To achieve this, I worked closely with the UX team to gather insights and understand user behaviours, which included conducting interviews with customers in telco stores.

Through this research, we discovered that users primarily use the mobile application to check their data usage, telco bills owed, remaining credits, credit and plan expiry, and purchase and renew internet plans. With this in mind, our key goal was to implement Unifi's branding across all Webe platforms while finding a way to merge existing features from Webe's users to Unifi. To ensure a seamless transition, we needed to provide Webe's existing users with status updates on the switching account progress.

THE DESIGN CHALLENGE

Throughout the design process, we prioritized simplicity to ensure that both Webe and Unifi users could easily access all the information about their accounts. The dashboard design includes a clear navigation experience that is consistent across both platforms, while also providing Webe users with the necessary information about the merging process. Overall, my role as a Visual Designer was to ensure that the merge of Webe and Unifi was visually cohesive and user-friendly for both new and existing users.

APPROACHING  WIREFRAMING

In this project, the focus was on improving the usability of the dashboard by optimizing key elements to be more intuitive and useful for new users who will be coming on board after the merging of Webe and Unifi Mobile.

The home screen was given the treatment of a dashboard, which provides users with access to key information related to their accounts. The goal was to make the home screen more prominent and useful for users.

The Order Screen is a crucial feature of the dashboard as it caters to the needs of consumers who heavily depend on mobile data packs and plans. Extensive research has revealed that a majority of the population requires packs that are tailored to their needs and offer great deals. This screen has been designed to allow consumers to access the best available packs and purchase them. Additionally, the screen also provides Webe's existing users with status updates on their account migration progress.

To ensure a seamless user experience, various scenario screens have been designed based on the progress status of the user. For example, the status of pending payment from the user is displayed on the screen. This enables the user to easily track and manage their account, making the dashboard a valuable asset for both Webe and Unifi users.

VISUAL DESIGN

Visual Design of the overall dashboard was approached keeping in mind the Brand Identity. A brand so well established, should also have a great recall value to customers, that's what makes it really successful.

Following a simple color palette been given, improving its visual language and user experience. The suggested direction provides the users with key information relative to their account easily accessible. This is what the users come for and are highest in their priority.

Grids also helping me to achieve effective alignment and consistency with little effort, create a basic structure, a skeleton of the design. That’s is crucial for dashboard design as I will need to organize a ton of information in a seamless way.

After I defined the grid, I can start work with multiple “widgets” that will hold the info, charts, and controls. Cards design is easy to arrange. The most important thing about cards is that they are almost infinitely manipulatable. They are a good choice for responsive design since cards act as content containers that easily scale up or down.
